This album is very special for me. I've been working on it for almost 2 years, a very long journey learning to produce my own songs, putting my creativity to my limits and appreciate the minimal details when I hear a song.

I wanted to put very special attention to every component of the album: artwork, how many songs were going to be, song's order, genres, all of it.

My focus on this album was to make 14 songs, mixing electonic music subgenres. I'm more used to listen to rock, metal or punk music, but I kinda found the type of sounds that just makes me bang my head or dance as crazy as I can. A weird combination if you ask me.

The name of the album was kinda difficult, but at the end, I decided to call it "Teen". But it wasn't really because of it's meaning in english (although it fits to the story), but because in the mayan language, it means "me".It's an ancient language that is still spoken in some states of my country: Mexico.

When it came to the songs, I thought about making seven of them more calm and melodic, and the rest were going to take a more agressive and experimental sound. So, the album is divided in two parts: 1-7 and 8-14, and if you want, you can hear the album begining with the second half and finishing with the first. It tells a different story if listened like that.

Mostly, I don't wanted to sing in every song, because I'm kinda shy about it, I prefer to take the instruments as the protagonists than my voice, except for the song "I Hate Everyone". In this one, I wanted to express myself as I really want: screaming. It's kinda weird, combining screams with electronic music, but seems interesting for me.

The concept for the album was about something deep. Maybe in the sound, or the lyrics, and for the artwork. I choose the concept "depth" because I wanted to refer about the first song of my album 0 "Kunohi". It's like writing a book but more detailed, and replacing sounds instead of letters.

And about the artwork, it's a photograph I took one night while returning from school. I thought it was so beautiful, that i wanted this photo to be the last thing I could leave as an artist. And also, I got very reflected in this photo: something mysterious, maybe shy, it could be wings or leaves, emerging from the darkness and becoming the only visible thing for the light.

This album is meant to be listened alone and with headphones. Not really because it won't like other people, but because is very personal for me, and I treat it like a gift to somebody.
